Not Without My Daughter, by Betty Mahmoody
By Toria Burrell - 9/6/08
This book still haunts me, years later. A thrilling true story of escaping terror. It is the story of the (literal) imprisonment of a woman who got sucked into a nightmare marriage and her courage, determination and struggle to escape, with her innocent young daughter.
SO much better than the movie (which did not do it justice).
