What excitement for me today, as I woke up to see hundreds of photos and videos on Facebook, of my old home town, Crawley! Hundreds of people, old and young, lined the streets all over Crawley this morning, to welcome the Olympic Torch, on its way to London.
A parade of lorries, floats and police vehicles accompanied the torch bearer, and swept through many familiar streets in my home town this morning. It's so exciting for me to see the many familiar places and streets that I grew up around, lined with so many people, cheering and waving flags. I never saw anything like this in my youth there! (Except perhaps the Crawley Carnival). It would have been so nice to be there today! (*sigh*)...
