Book Review: - Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand

Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand

By Toria Burrell, 11/5/10

I was completely taken by surprise by this. Contrary to my expectations (misconceptions), it was not difficult to read, dry, boring or foreign in its philosophy. It was compelling, interesting, beautifully written and deeply thought-provoking. It was a life-changing book for me, that helped to solidify my philosophy on life.

Ayn Rand's philosophy (objectivism) feels profoundly right to me.
It offers a very chilling parallel to the current state of affairs. I see history repeating itself.

I loved the intelligent writing, the strong female lead character, and the way Ayn Rand presented her philosophy so eloquently.
