Water for Elephants, by Sara Gruen

Wonderful! Satisfying from start to finish. A fascinating, gripping, well told story. I didn't think I'd be interested in the lives of circus people, but Sara Gruen draws you in and makes you care deeply about her characters.

I enjoyed the narrative technique, looking back through the eyes of the old man on his colorful, dramatic past. This was one of those books that was hard to follow with anything else for a while.

Definitely among my top favorites.
